I’m Glenda, and I’ve spent more than 20 years creating professional lifecasting pieces for real families, babies, pets and bereaved families.

Since 2004, I’ve also trained people from across the UK and around the world to learn these skills for themselves.

I still do this work myself. That matters.

When you train with me, you’re not learning from someone who used to practise lifecasting, or simply following a set of instructions. You’re learning directly from someone who still works with real clients and understands what it takes to create beautiful, professional pieces in the real world.

My training is private, hands-on and completely personal, taking place in my working studio in Dorset.

You’ll work with real models where appropriate, practise the techniques yourself and have me beside you throughout your training.

There are no large groups, no rotating instructors and no sitting at the back watching someone else do the work.

Why Train With Me?

There are different ways to learn lifecasting.

I believe the best way is to learn properly, practically and personally, from someone who has spent years doing the work.

Precious Memories has been an established lifecasting studio since 2004. I’m not simply teaching a craft from a textbook — I’m passing on techniques, experience and practical knowledge gained from working with real clients for more than two decades.

That includes knowing how to work carefully with babies and children, how to approach families, how to handle difficult or sensitive situations, how to achieve professional finishes and how to deal with the things that inevitably happen when you’re working with real people rather than perfect demonstrations.

Your training is private and personal

Every training session is 1:1 with me. That means the pace can be adapted to you.

If you’re completely new, I’ll take you through everything step by step. If you already have experience, we can concentrate on the techniques you need to develop further.

You don’t have to worry about keeping up with a group or waiting for your turn.

You learn by doing

I don’t want you to spend your training simply watching me.

Where appropriate, you’ll work with real babies, families and pets, giving you experience of the practical side of lifecasting and the opportunity to build your confidence while I’m there to guide you.

You learn from someone who still has a working business

This is one of the most important differences between learning the craft and learning how to work professionally.

I can show you what works in my own business because I’m still doing it.

You’ll learn not only the techniques involved in creating the casts, but also the practical considerations that come with working with real customers.

Professional 3D baby hand, foot and family casting

This is where many students begin.

You’ll learn the essential techniques involved in creating professional 3D baby hand and foot castings, family hand castings and beautifully finished keepsakes suitable for real clients.

Day 1 — £550 — Professional Baby Hand Casting Foundations
Learn the essential techniques, materials and processes involved in professional 3D baby hand and foot casting.

Day 2 — £550 — Advanced Baby Casting & Professional Finishing
Build on your first day with more advanced baby casting techniques, handclasp casting and professional airbrush finishing.

Day 3 — £650 — Advanced Lifecasting & Business Development
Develop your skills further with more complex pieces, advanced techniques and practical guidance around the professional side of offering lifecasting services.

Complete 3-Day Package — £1,650

Book all three 3D hand casting training days together and save £100 compared with booking each day individually.

Day 3 can also be taken at a later date.

Memorial lifecasting is a specialist area that requires a different approach from ordinary baby and family casting.

You’re working with people at an incredibly emotional time in their lives, so the technical side of the work needs to be accompanied by care, sensitivity and professionalism.

My dedicated memorial lifecasting training is suitable for people interested in offering this specialist service to families, hospices, funeral directors and bereavement organisations.

£650 per day

We’ll look at the practical techniques involved as well as the professional considerations that come with this type of work.

Pets are family too, and pet casting brings its own challenges and techniques.

Do I need previous experience?

No. Most students arrive as complete beginners.

I’ll take you through the techniques step by step and adapt the training to your experience and confidence.

How much does training cost?

Day 1 is £550, Day 2 is £550 and Day 3 is £650.

The complete three-day package is £1,650, saving £100 compared with booking the three days individually.

Does the £100 saving apply if I combine training with another course?

No.

The £100 saving applies only when all three 3D hand casting training days are booked together.

If you combine 3D training with memorial, 2D tile, belly bump, jewellery, pet or another specialist course, each course is charged individually.

Is training private?

Training is 1:1 with Glenda, rather than in a group classroom, so it can be tailored around your experience and the techniques you want to learn.

Do you use real models?

Real babies, families and pets are arranged for training at no additional model fee, where appropriate. This gives you the opportunity to gain practical experience with real people and real situations rather than simply watching demonstrations.

Is support included after the course?

Lifetime WhatsApp and email support is included with your training, so you can contact me if you need help, advice or reassurance after you’ve returned home.

Can I split my training?

You don’t have to complete all your training in one visit — you can do one day, return later for another, or combine different specialist courses depending on what you want to learn. Day 3 can also be taken at a later date.

Do you welcome international students?

Absolutely.

Students are welcome from overseas, and I’ll help you with practical arrangements such as dates, accommodation guidance, travel planning and international payment.

Will I learn about running a business?

Where appropriate, I’ll share practical guidance around pricing, client communication and the business considerations involved in offering lifecasting services.
